This Castlevania fan game leads Board Boosters into new territory yet again! Castlevania: Prelude of Chaos is a Simon’s Quest style game made by Martin Bousquet for Texas Instrument Calculators. The game was developed using Z80 assembly language over the course of a year and a half before releasing on ticalc.org in September of 2007. Thirteen years later, a PC port of the game was released, making it easier for die-hard Castlevania fans to play this unique entry.

You play as Alexis Belmont on quest to kill Dracula. Just like its NES inspiration, you’ll visit towns collecting items and weapon upgrades. The game even has multiple bosses to take down before confronting Dracula himself. For a game entirely designed to be played on a calculator, the scope and response is impressive and deserves a look from any NES Castlevania fans.
